Federation of Canada Nepal Chamber of Commerce (FCNCC)

Federation of Canada Nepal Chamber of Commerce (FCNCC) is an advocacy group and also engaged with federal and provincial representatives on crucial bilateral issues of Canada and Nepal. It is a non-partisan public policy platform with an objective to promote bilateral relations through economic and trade promotion between Canada and Nepal, creating business opportunities for Canadian small businesses. Below are the objectives of FCNCC:

Objective:

Foster stronger bilateral relations between Canada and Nepal through active participation in public policy debates and engagement with parliamentarians. This includes intervention in public policy covering domestic policies and bilateral issues affecting the Nepalese Canadian community, such as culture, education, trade and investment, immigration, diplomatic, political, and strategic relations.

  • Advocate Canadian government to open VISA and TRADE office in Nepal.
  • Increase engagement of the Nepalese Canadian community in Canadian politics and public policy, raising awareness of Nepal’s evolving profile.
  • Create opportunities for qualified Nepalese-Canadians in public spheres.
  • Annually recognize and honor a prominent global Nepalese achiever who has enhanced Nepal’s presence and prestige globally.
  • Organize sectoral forums to better understand the expanding economic relations between Canada and Nepal.
  • Position the need for a strategic partnership between Canada and Nepal as critical to Canada’s future.

  1. Hosting Nepal trade delegations and senior political and business leaders.
  2. Annual Award Gala Night recognizing community achievements.
  3. Annual General Meeting.
