Dan Muys was elected as the Member of Parliament for the southern Ontario riding of Flamborough-Glanbrook on September 20, 2021. Prior to seeking elected office, Dan had a successful career as a corporate communicator – developing communications strategies for multinational firms in the energy and agri-food sectors in Ontario, Western Canada and across the United States. During this time, Dan was part of a core team that developed $10 Billion in successful bids for energy infrastructure projects in Canada. He has also led communications on pivotal business transformation projects and helped launched brands on both sides of the border. In government and politics, Dan has worked on Parliament Hill for two federal cabinet ministers, at Queen’s Park, in the federal Leader’s Office and alongside local Members of Parliament and Members of Provincial Parliament. Dan is a member of the Ancaster Rotary, Flamborough Chamber of Commerce and attends Copetown Church. Previously, he also served on the Board of Directors of the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG). Dan has been active in his professional association – serving the Canadian Public Relations Society as President of the Hamilton chapter, the Calgary chapter and Chair of the National Governance Committee at various points in his career.
