It is a great honour and privilege to serve as the President of the Federation of Canada Nepal Chamber of Commerce (FCNCC). I sincerely thank our Board of Directors, Advisors, Executive Committee, members, partners, and the Nepalese-Canadian business community for their trust, confidence, and continued support. Together, we are building a stronger organization dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for entrepreneurs, professionals, and businesses in both Canada and Nepal.
Canada and Nepal have shared warm diplomatic relations since 1965, founded on mutual respect, friendship, and cooperation. Over the decades, the growing Nepalese-Canadian community has strengthened people-to-people connections and created new opportunities for business, investment, education, innovation, and cultural exchange. While bilateral trade continues to grow, there remains tremendous untapped potential for economic collaboration between our two nations.
As Nepal continues its journey toward becoming a developing nation and expands its participation in the global economy, exciting opportunities are emerging across sectors such as hydropower, renewable energy, tourism, agriculture, information technology, manufacturing, infrastructure, education, and international trade. FCNCC is committed to connecting Canadian and Nepali businesses to help unlock these opportunities through strategic partnerships, knowledge sharing, and investment facilitation.
FCNCC serves as a trusted bridge between the business communities of Canada and Nepal. We work closely with all levels of government, industry leaders, trade organizations, and community partners to promote entrepreneurship, strengthen bilateral trade, encourage foreign investment, and advocate for policies that support sustainable economic growth. Our mission is to empower businesses by providing valuable networking opportunities, business resources, trade missions, educational programs, and strategic collaborations.
Our vision extends beyond commerce. We believe strong economic relationships create lasting partnerships, foster innovation, generate employment, and contribute to the prosperity of both nations. By bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, and community leaders, we aim to build a vibrant Canada–Nepal economic corridor that benefits future generations.
